Welcome to Bayview Village, a car-free living in the Hills of Hayward, California
Bayview Village is a proposed, transit oriented community in the Hayward hills near California State University, East Bay. The twenty-two acre Village of about 1,000 homes is designed to provide a healthy, safe, affordable place to live, with less dependence on cars. The focus is around community, people, walking, transit, and quality of life.
Residential areas are largely car-free, with walkways that lead to a Village Center. The Village Center has a community center, bus-way, a small park, grocery store and cafe/restaurant overlooking the Bay. The community center has mailboxes, ATM, business office, meeting rooms, fitness center, lounge, and more. From every residence in Bayview Village, life's daily necessities and many amenities will be within a short, five minute walk or a few minutes ride on the Village Bus. The Bus is frequent, fast and free to Village residents; it will reach the Cal State campus in two minutes, and downtown Hayward and BART in six minutes.
